I love this planner, but there’s a couple of things that I am disappointed in it at the same time. The illustrations are great and each months theme page follows the weekly pages through the month for a cohesive look. The pages at the front were awesome too! Made me really think about my goals and what to look forward to throughout the year. The end of month recap is cool too, helps me reflect on the previous month and how I can improve myself.
The disappointments that I have with the planner have to do with the paper thickness and color. First, I knew going into it the pages were cream, and I’m kinda ok with that, however I wish they were white. The thickness of the paper is not great, and you CANNOT use alcohol markers on them or it will bleed through 3 pages!! I wasn’t even using a lot of pressure either!
As for the layout, I’m more of a horizontal layout but have been making do with the vertical one. I figured I’d give it a try, but there’s just not enough space to write in with the vertical layout. The horizontal layout gives me space to put my goals for the day and then do a summary that night.
Overall, I like the journal because I can color it myself which keeps me calm, it I just wish it had the things I’m lacking in it. I would like to use my alcohol markers but I just can’t which is why I scored it a 4 instead of a 5. And I would think that paying $57 for a planner bundle, the planner would have bleed proof pages.
