Purchase an optional Colour Companion subscription (with a lifetime offer available), and you’ll unlock even more features:

• Save unlimited art supplies in your own “Art Stash”, organised in the same order you have them on your desk

Got Questions? We Have Answers!

Wondering what the difference is between Colour Cube 1st Edition & 2nd Edition? Find out more here:

Where do I get the lifetime access mentioned for the new website? Is this included in the Digital Colour Cubes or is this something different?2026-03-06T16:03:17+11:00

This subscription won’t be bundled into the existing options, as it’s under a different payment system. So you can still order everything else and be confident you’re getting the best deal possible on all the 2nd Edition products.

Why didn’t you just release new volumes instead of changing 1 and 2?2025-09-20T15:57:55+10:00

Great question!

The main purpose of this update was to make some improvements to Volume 1 and 2, based on customer feedback. I’ve introduced tabs, updated the box, and redesigned more logical categories (while keeping variety in each cube for people who just want one)

Part of this included retiring 100 palettes from Volume 1 and 2, and expanding the range to include Volume 3 and 4.

The biggest change of all comes with the digital experience.

I’ll continue to share more over the coming weeks, and hopefully help make sense of how the new system works, and why we made the changes.

* Are there duplicate colour palettes from Volume 1 and 2?2025-09-20T15:56:13+10:00

This is a full update and second edition of the Color Cube Volume 1 and 2. The boxes themselves are getting an update, and the palette cards have been reviewed and recategorized for a better experience.

Out of the original 500 palettes from the First Edition, 100 have been retired.

Alongside the new Volumes 1 and 2, the introduction of Volumes 3 and 4 gives more opportunities for better categories and variety, so any box has a huge range of colour choices on its own, without needing all 4.

There are a lot of other updates still to be announced, so it may be best to wait for the full launch before making a decision on which Color Cube is best for you.

Here’s the full breakdown of the changes to the palette cards:

Volume 1 (2nd Edition) keeps 160 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 25 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.) and created 65 new palettes.
Volume 2 (2nd Edition) keeps 124 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 15 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and created 111 new palettes.
Volume 3 (2nd Edition) includes 187 new palettes, plus 17 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 46 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).
Volume 4 (2nd Edition) includes 219 new palettes, plus 13 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 18 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).

How many of the colour palettes have changed?2025-09-15T21:32:44+10:00

All of the colour palettes have been renumbered and recategorised for a better overall experience. Each Volume includes a mix of palettes from the original Volumes 1 and 2, along with new palettes.

Volume 1 (2nd Edition) includes 65 new palettes, 160 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 25 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 2 (2nd Edition) includes 111 new palettes, 15 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 124 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 3 (2nd Edition) includes 187 new palettes, 17 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 46 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 4 (2nd Edition) includes 219 new palettes, 13 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 18 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).

I recently purchased the First Edition. Can I swap or upgrade to the Second Edition?2025-09-20T15:54:47+10:00

We understand the desire to upgrade, and transitions between product versions are always tricky. If you’ve ordered recently, please reach out to my team. For orders that haven’t shipped, we can sometimes make an exchange. We can’t accept refunds or exchanges on products that have already been shipped. If you purchased within the past few months, please also reach out and we’ll see what we can do!

Are the cards still the same size and finish?2025-09-08T15:41:45+10:00

Yes, the cards are the same size and printed on the same high-quality matte finish.

Are you upgrading the digital Colour Catalog and Colour Companion too?2025-09-20T15:54:20+10:00

The Colour Catalog and Companion are being replaced with a new online experience. Existing customers will still have lifetime access to download their First Edition Catalogs and Companions. The new experience builds on all the feedback from the originals, and adds many new features (still to be announced).

Are Volume 3 & 4 available separately or only as part of a set?2025-09-16T11:39:13+10:00

You can purchase Volumes 1 & 2 as one set, Volumes 3 & 4 as another, or 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 as a bundle. Each volume is also available individually.

If I already own Volume 1 & 2, do I need to buy this version too?2025-09-08T15:39:40+10:00

Not at all. Your current cubes still work perfectly. But the new version has enough improvements and new palettes that many customers will want to upgrade.

Is this a replacement for Volume 1 & 2?2025-09-20T15:53:46+10:00

This 2nd Edition is a replacement for the original Cubes, not intended as a separate series. The new version significantly improves on the First Edition Volumes 1 and 2 and includes new palettes and updated features. 100 colour palettes from the original Cubes have been retired in this update.

Will the original Colour Cubes still be available, or are they being discontinued?2025-09-08T15:38:13+10:00

We still have limited stock of the original 1st Edition Colour Cubes (Volumes 1 and 2). These won’t be reprinted, so once they sell out, they’re gone.

When can I see what’s in the Color Cube 2nd Edition?2025-09-08T15:36:45+10:00

We’re rolling out more information every few days on social media, and Sarah will show everything in detail during the launch on YouTube on October 24th.

Very fun and useful product. I love the color combinations, I love mixing the watercolor trying to match the colors on the cards. The quality of the product itself is impeccable. The team is also very nice and responsive. If you are an artist or art lover, I think you will love this. Highly recommend.

These colour Cubes are amazing. So professionally put together, from the packaging to the quality of the materials used. They have so many applications. I am over the moon and would highly recommend them to anyone who is a crafter or designer. They are perfect if you are very tactile like me. Stunning pictures. They were my treat for me. They are worth every penny.

First of all, the boxes are beautiful and worth displaying on your desk for aesthetics. The cards are extremely helpful to provide inspiration and color palettes. I am just a doodler, so I like to use the cards to find new, vibrant color combinations, then to use the natural picture as inspiration for something to draw.

I found the same ones that were in the first one to came out with I found those sorted out throughout the new boxes I would have never bought the second like the second ones you made had I known that the first ones would have been all through it like I was expecting for that price all new things like you said in your video that you wanted to change everything you wouldn’t keep them the same and so you didn’t but some of the cards are identical and that’s to me it’s just replicating like I just bought double like so all the first ones I bought or throughout the second one

If you love color I think you will love having these. I’ve wanted them since they came out but didn’t really need them. So with the new update release and Christmas gift I finally got them and they are wonderful to add to art fun and practice. They are gorgeous. I have too much!! Yet these do add to my art studio and I’ve already begun a fun art project with them in my art rotation.

My only critique is that the digital color companion be included. It seems a bit greedy not to include if it was created for use with the cubes. All the extra work and options sure maybe charge extra but a basic color companion would be nice to have. Maybe. I don’t know I didn’t receive that in my gift.
