Find matching art supplies for your favourite colours in just a few clicks, or convert your colours from one brand to another from a range of 50+ art supplies in our database (with more being added regularly!)

Purchase an optional Colour Companion subscription (with a lifetime offer available), and you’ll unlock even more features:

• Save unlimited art supplies in your own “Art Stash”, organised in the same order you have them on your desk
• Find the best colour matches in any product from your stash, or learn which 2 colours you can mix to make sure you have the closest match possible
• Create collections of your favourite colours and colour palettes

Got Questions? We Have Answers!

Wondering what the difference is between Colour Cube 1st Edition & 2nd Edition? Find out more here:

Where do I get the lifetime access mentioned for the new website? Is this included in the Digital Colour Cubes or is this something different?2026-03-06T16:03:17+11:00

This subscription won’t be bundled into the existing options, as it’s under a different payment system. So you can still order everything else and be confident you’re getting the best deal possible on all the 2nd Edition products.

Why didn’t you just release new volumes instead of changing 1 and 2?2025-09-20T15:57:55+10:00

Great question!

The main purpose of this update was to make some improvements to Volume 1 and 2, based on customer feedback. I’ve introduced tabs, updated the box, and redesigned more logical categories (while keeping variety in each cube for people who just want one)

Part of this included retiring 100 palettes from Volume 1 and 2, and expanding the range to include Volume 3 and 4.

The biggest change of all comes with the digital experience.

I’ll continue to share more over the coming weeks, and hopefully help make sense of how the new system works, and why we made the changes.

* Are there duplicate colour palettes from Volume 1 and 2?2025-09-20T15:56:13+10:00

This is a full update and second edition of the Color Cube Volume 1 and 2. The boxes themselves are getting an update, and the palette cards have been reviewed and recategorized for a better experience.

Out of the original 500 palettes from the First Edition, 100 have been retired.

Alongside the new Volumes 1 and 2, the introduction of Volumes 3 and 4 gives more opportunities for better categories and variety, so any box has a huge range of colour choices on its own, without needing all 4.

There are a lot of other updates still to be announced, so it may be best to wait for the full launch before making a decision on which Color Cube is best for you.

Here’s the full breakdown of the changes to the palette cards:

Volume 1 (2nd Edition) keeps 160 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 25 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.) and created 65 new palettes.
Volume 2 (2nd Edition) keeps 124 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 15 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and created 111 new palettes.
Volume 3 (2nd Edition) includes 187 new palettes, plus 17 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 46 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).
Volume 4 (2nd Edition) includes 219 new palettes, plus 13 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 18 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).

How many of the colour palettes have changed?2025-09-15T21:32:44+10:00

All of the colour palettes have been renumbered and recategorised for a better overall experience. Each Volume includes a mix of palettes from the original Volumes 1 and 2, along with new palettes.

Volume 1 (2nd Edition) includes 65 new palettes, 160 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 25 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 2 (2nd Edition) includes 111 new palettes, 15 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 124 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 3 (2nd Edition) includes 187 new palettes, 17 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 46 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 4 (2nd Edition) includes 219 new palettes, 13 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 18 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).

I recently purchased the First Edition. Can I swap or upgrade to the Second Edition?2025-09-20T15:54:47+10:00

We understand the desire to upgrade, and transitions between product versions are always tricky. If you’ve ordered recently, please reach out to my team. For orders that haven’t shipped, we can sometimes make an exchange. We can’t accept refunds or exchanges on products that have already been shipped. If you purchased within the past few months, please also reach out and we’ll see what we can do!

Are the cards still the same size and finish?2025-09-08T15:41:45+10:00

Yes, the cards are the same size and printed on the same high-quality matte finish.

Are you upgrading the digital Colour Catalog and Colour Companion too?2025-09-20T15:54:20+10:00

The Colour Catalog and Companion are being replaced with a new online experience. Existing customers will still have lifetime access to download their First Edition Catalogs and Companions. The new experience builds on all the feedback from the originals, and adds many new features (still to be announced).

Are Volume 3 & 4 available separately or only as part of a set?2025-09-16T11:39:13+10:00

You can purchase Volumes 1 & 2 as one set, Volumes 3 & 4 as another, or 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 as a bundle. Each volume is also available individually.

If I already own Volume 1 & 2, do I need to buy this version too?2025-09-08T15:39:40+10:00

Not at all. Your current cubes still work perfectly. But the new version has enough improvements and new palettes that many customers will want to upgrade.

Is this a replacement for Volume 1 & 2?2025-09-20T15:53:46+10:00

This 2nd Edition is a replacement for the original Cubes, not intended as a separate series. The new version significantly improves on the First Edition Volumes 1 and 2 and includes new palettes and updated features. 100 colour palettes from the original Cubes have been retired in this update.

Will the original Colour Cubes still be available, or are they being discontinued?2025-09-08T15:38:13+10:00

We still have limited stock of the original 1st Edition Colour Cubes (Volumes 1 and 2). These won’t be reprinted, so once they sell out, they’re gone.

When can I see what’s in the Color Cube 2nd Edition?2025-09-08T15:36:45+10:00

We’re rolling out more information every few days on social media, and Sarah will show everything in detail during the launch on YouTube on October 24th.

I absolutely love it. I haven’t had a chance to actually do more than flip through it. But I can see it helping in more than just my coloring.

Love these. They exceeded my expectations. They are beautifully made and so very easy to use. And the picture quality and colors is so vibrant. I love the packaging and how easy it is to get the cards in and out of the box. I have used them several times already in my sketchbook and with my art journaling. Money well spent!

I got the volume 1 cube as I thought it might help with seasonal colour palettes for my sketchbook journal. I was very pleased with the variety of palettes and really like the way they’ve been organised into different seasonal subjects. Such a great idea and glad I decided to get this cube in the end.

I am so impressed with the quality and quantity of these cards. I um’d and ah’d about getting these cards for months because I wasn’t sure I could justify the cost, but I’ve used them so much since they arrived that I’m now wondering how I managed without!

The color combinations just work! And the reference picture helps me understand the balance of percentage of individual colors. I am a lampworker. I melt glass with a torch and make my own beads to use in my work. I have been enjoying picking color to match a different card each day. I make 20-30 beads in 4 hours of work. Each day has been 1 card. How easy is that? I plan on taking my Color Boxes to the glass symposium in Dillsboro ,N. C. In March where I will be demonstrating.

We are a Print, Signs and Design business. I saw these at our local Gallery that does Art Classes and then purchased them for our 2 x Graphic Designers as a surprise . . . and they were ecstatic!! A great asset for us to have.
