Got Questions? We Have Answers!

Wondering what the difference is between Colour Cube 1st Edition & 2nd Edition? Find out more here:

Where do I get the lifetime access mentioned for the new website? Is this included in the Digital Colour Cubes or is this something different?2026-03-06T16:03:17+11:00

This subscription won’t be bundled into the existing options, as it’s under a different payment system. So you can still order everything else and be confident you’re getting the best deal possible on all the 2nd Edition products.

Why didn’t you just release new volumes instead of changing 1 and 2?2025-09-20T15:57:55+10:00

Great question!

The main purpose of this update was to make some improvements to Volume 1 and 2, based on customer feedback. I’ve introduced tabs, updated the box, and redesigned more logical categories (while keeping variety in each cube for people who just want one)

Part of this included retiring 100 palettes from Volume 1 and 2, and expanding the range to include Volume 3 and 4.

The biggest change of all comes with the digital experience.

I’ll continue to share more over the coming weeks, and hopefully help make sense of how the new system works, and why we made the changes.

* Are there duplicate colour palettes from Volume 1 and 2?2025-09-20T15:56:13+10:00

This is a full update and second edition of the Color Cube Volume 1 and 2. The boxes themselves are getting an update, and the palette cards have been reviewed and recategorized for a better experience.

Out of the original 500 palettes from the First Edition, 100 have been retired.

Alongside the new Volumes 1 and 2, the introduction of Volumes 3 and 4 gives more opportunities for better categories and variety, so any box has a huge range of colour choices on its own, without needing all 4.

There are a lot of other updates still to be announced, so it may be best to wait for the full launch before making a decision on which Color Cube is best for you.

Here’s the full breakdown of the changes to the palette cards:

Volume 1 (2nd Edition) keeps 160 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 25 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.) and created 65 new palettes.
Volume 2 (2nd Edition) keeps 124 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 15 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and created 111 new palettes.
Volume 3 (2nd Edition) includes 187 new palettes, plus 17 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 46 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).
Volume 4 (2nd Edition) includes 219 new palettes, plus 13 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 18 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).

How many of the colour palettes have changed?2025-09-15T21:32:44+10:00

All of the colour palettes have been renumbered and recategorised for a better overall experience. Each Volume includes a mix of palettes from the original Volumes 1 and 2, along with new palettes.

Volume 1 (2nd Edition) includes 65 new palettes, 160 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 25 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 2 (2nd Edition) includes 111 new palettes, 15 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 124 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 3 (2nd Edition) includes 187 new palettes, 17 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 46 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).
Volume 4 (2nd Edition) includes 219 new palettes, 13 from Volume 1 (1st Edition) and 18 from Volume 2 (1st Edition).

I recently purchased the First Edition. Can I swap or upgrade to the Second Edition?2025-09-20T15:54:47+10:00

We understand the desire to upgrade, and transitions between product versions are always tricky. If you’ve ordered recently, please reach out to my team. For orders that haven’t shipped, we can sometimes make an exchange. We can’t accept refunds or exchanges on products that have already been shipped. If you purchased within the past few months, please also reach out and we’ll see what we can do!

Are the cards still the same size and finish?2025-09-08T15:41:45+10:00

Yes, the cards are the same size and printed on the same high-quality matte finish.

Are you upgrading the digital Colour Catalog and Colour Companion too?2025-09-20T15:54:20+10:00

The Colour Catalog and Companion are being replaced with a new online experience. Existing customers will still have lifetime access to download their First Edition Catalogs and Companions. The new experience builds on all the feedback from the originals, and adds many new features (still to be announced).

Are Volume 3 & 4 available separately or only as part of a set?2025-09-16T11:39:13+10:00

You can purchase Volumes 1 & 2 as one set, Volumes 3 & 4 as another, or 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 as a bundle. Each volume is also available individually.

If I already own Volume 1 & 2, do I need to buy this version too?2025-09-08T15:39:40+10:00

Not at all. Your current cubes still work perfectly. But the new version has enough improvements and new palettes that many customers will want to upgrade.

Is this a replacement for Volume 1 & 2?2025-09-20T15:53:46+10:00

This 2nd Edition is a replacement for the original Cubes, not intended as a separate series. The new version significantly improves on the First Edition Volumes 1 and 2 and includes new palettes and updated features. 100 colour palettes from the original Cubes have been retired in this update.

Will the original Colour Cubes still be available, or are they being discontinued?2025-09-08T15:38:13+10:00

We still have limited stock of the original 1st Edition Colour Cubes (Volumes 1 and 2). These won’t be reprinted, so once they sell out, they’re gone.

When can I see what’s in the Color Cube 2nd Edition?2025-09-08T15:36:45+10:00

We’re rolling out more information every few days on social media, and Sarah will show everything in detail during the launch on YouTube on October 24th.

I have always struggled to find coordinating colors that weren’t matchy matchy but offer some contrast but symmetry. I this will really help with my custom tumbler making to help coordinate unique and vibrant color combinations.

Bought cube 1, 1st and 2nd edition and love both. I am so impressed with cubes 3 and 4 and having all on digital is difficult to put into words how much I love them

My colour cubes came today and I can’t believe it, they are huge. I can clearly see the pallets as well as the photos. This should be fun!

I have just looked at the 4 cubes briefly as they have been purchased for my daughter for her birthday. They were what she wanted, so she’s getting them and I know she ‘s going to love them.

So pleased with these; as well as being so useful in combining colour schemes, the pictures are inspiring. The tabbed dividers are a real bonus too.

These color boxes are all they claim to be and more! The quality of the boxes and cards is great. And all those color combinations… endless inspiration! And to be honest just looking at the cards is a way to decompress as well! I love my color boxes and totally recommend! This can be amazing for a seasoned artist or a person who is just starting out… it works for artists, designers, bakers… if you work with colors in any capacity, these boxes are for you!!

Coming up with color palettes before starting an art project can be so time consuming. I’ve been wanting to get the Color Cube for a long time. I finally bought it and I’m so happy! I just love it. There are more beautiful color combinations than I ever could have imagined opening up my artistic creativity. The cards are nice and thick and so professional. The dividers with thumbnails of each card makes it quick and easy to find the perfect card. The box is sturdy and decorative. They look great in my studio. I bought the 2nd edition Vol 1&2.

Beautiful, high-quality prints with some genuinely inspiring palettes. It took a little while for the website to go live, but it was absolutely worth the wait. It’s intuitive and convenient, and has a STELLAR support team — go, Team Sarah!

Even when I’m not actively working on a project, sometimes I just enjoy browsing the palettes by myself or with friends. 10/10, would recommend.

I love these color cards. I knew I wanted turquois as a main color but I wasn’t sure which spice colors to choose. The color card made that a simple process. I wasted no time and no paint in deciding my palette.

Love this amazing creation. It’s going to help me so much in my painting and weaving projects as I’ve always had trouble getting the colours to look good. No more pot luck, I’m excited to explore this resource.

These are so cool. My daughter got them for me for Mothers Day, and I love them. They match my Ohuhu markers perfectly.
