This is a full update and second edition of the Color Cube Volume 1 and 2. The boxes themselves are getting an update, and the palette cards have been reviewed and recategorized for a better experience.
Out of the original 500 palettes from the First Edition, 100 have been retired.
Alongside the new Volumes 1 and 2, the introduction of Volumes 3 and 4 gives more opportunities for better categories and variety, so any box has a huge range of colour choices on its own, without needing all 4.
There are a lot of other updates still to be announced, so it may be best to wait for the full launch before making a decision on which Color Cube is best for you.
Here’s the full breakdown of the changes to the palette cards:
Volume 1 (2nd Edition) keeps 160 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 25 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.) and created 65 new palettes.
Volume 2 (2nd Edition) keeps 124 from 1st Edition. I’ve moved 15 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and created 111 new palettes.
Volume 3 (2nd Edition) includes 187 new palettes, plus 17 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 46 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).
Volume 4 (2nd Edition) includes 219 new palettes, plus 13 from Volume 1 (1st Ed.) and 18 from Volume 2 (1st Ed.).

I loved Volume 1 so much I had to buy all 4. Digital had proved to be perfect for me, though I’d still love to feel the cards.

I just love the colour cubes. I bought set one digital and caught the bug. I already had Derwent pencils 72 set, and Primacolour. Not enough ! I had to get cubes 2, 3 and 4. And a set of 216 ohuhu pen. Bingo I have a new relaxing hobby: colouring. Not just that, I was able to choose paint combinations for redecorating the flat.

J’adore. Il m’est utile pour mes projets d’art et pour des temps libre type coloriage relaxant. C’est très bien fait et ça vaut vraiment la peine l’avoir. Je crois que tout artiste devrait avoir ce cube. Merci beaucoup. Je suis satisfaite de mon achat

I love the content overall. I only wish it was easier to navigate instead of scrolling.

The quality of the paper is really nice. I like the boxes and way to organize them. They seem well thought out to be able to find and put back. Each card is numbered. The online system is really nice to help match colors to materials. It also has a random feature which is a nice way to get a set without having to look for a color yourself. I’m hoping more materials get added.

I really enjoyed using it so far. It has helped me pick out color combinations that I wouldn’t have put together otherwise. As a person just getting into to these types of coloring books, and supplies; it is a great tool.

I am 62 years old and have always wanted to do water color painting. I have no previous experience and cannot draw. I have read a few small color theory books and they were useless to me. So I just gave up. THEN I stumbled on Ms Clark on you tube and saw the color cubes and that solved all my problems. I purchased volumes 1&2 printed and digital last year and learned to use carbon paper to trace out my pictures. I don’t have to think about color theory stuff because I just grab a card(s)match up the colors on the card(s) and start painting! Last month I purchased volumes 3&4 digital. Without the color cubes I would never have started doing any kind of art. I even trace out her cards and enlarge them on my printer and trace them on watercolor paper. Now I’m headed to the poor house because of those color cubes I have purchased water color tubes, half pans, watercolor pencils, colored pencils etc and even had a custom built standing desk for myself. For all the people that can’t draw/sketch Or figure out the color theory stuff, get yourself some carbon paper and those
color cubes and you can open up your new artistic talents on your way to your poor house just like me!! I love love love those cubes. To Ms Clark you should start selling your printed cubes with carbon paper inside and do a video for all the people that are scared, intimidated, or embarrassed because they can’t draw or figure out all the color theory stuff and either cut me in on all the money your gonna make reeling in new customers or start a go fund me page for me because your color cubes are driving me to the poor house!!!!! Thank you Ms Clark for your idea on those cubes, without them I would have never started watercolor painting.
