Wow! it’s a total game-changer for art supply junkies like me. It’s like Sarah knew exactly what I needed. Those sturdy 400GSM fan decks handle tons of swatches without bleeding, and the wooden storage is sleek and stackable. Total creative chaos-saver! Totally love these!

Fantastic product. Beautifully designed. Great to have all swatches in some kind of order – and so easy now to match up colours when using different mediums in a project.
I have swatched various brands of Colour pencils, Water soluble pencils, Pastel pencils as well as Brusho, Neocolour 11, Watercolour paints, Gouache, sketching Inks, Acrylic inks, Alcohol inks, Alcohol markers and Waterbased markers.
To prevent the pastels from rubbing off, I covered each of the swatches with clear adhesive. I’ll have to wait and see if it causes discolouration in the long run.
With the water soluble mediums, I did not have any issues with warping, but I did find it difficult to ‘control the water’ to achieve a nice gradient if I had divided the swatch area into two segments. I was surprised though re how well the Brusho worked on the swatches. Because I have a limited number of colours, I used the swatchcards back to front and used a full card for each colour.
With the actual watercolour paints, I did adhere watercolour paper to each swatch.
I have yet to do the front covers, but will likely choose from my favourite colour combinations from the colour cubes and use whatever medium is in that swatchdeck.
Though I had a few areas in a couple of the swatch ‘pages’ that the medium I was using just would not adhere to, I am extremely happy with the overall results and looking forward to putting them to some good use.

I didn’t think you could surpass the colour cubes but you’ve done it again. 1 Aldi can’t believe the concept for this wasn’t already out there. However now it is,I no longer need to search for ever to find the appropriate swatches so that I can compare paint, pencil and pastels for mixed media comparison. As for the actual system it only has one word to describe it – phenomenal, not just for the way you can store and organise swatches but for the quality of the product, from the wooden storage box to the 400 gsm paper. I’m already looking to getting my second box.

I really like the swatchdex, quality is good however really wish there were different patterns on the cards as there is only triangles on the top one and straight lines on all the rest in the batches. i would rather have had them all one pattern or different patterns.

These swatch decks are well made and will be very useful to replace all the bits of cardboard I have created with colour swatches. The box is very well made and everything I ordered was so well wrapped that it all arrived in perfect condition.

When they arrived the box they were shipped in was so mashed that it had a gaping hole on one side and when I checked, the contents were so well packaged that there was no damage done and the fact that the packaging was all eco and easy to recycle at home was a plus. I love it what a great product. I’m ADHD it’s so hard for me to sometimes to create as I get so overwhelmed looking at my supplies and swatch sheets I always loose. I have this very handy, amazing quality, swatchdex now and instead of getting overwhelmed i just look at my swatches with a colour cube card and get inspired. Anyone that gets overwhelmed and like me looses swatch sheets this is such an amazing tool to create highly recommend
