This is by far the best colouring book I’ve ever owned. I have always loved the idea of relaxing by colouring, however I find the experience to usually be more frustrating to infuriating than relaxing. I hate the thin toothless paper most books come with.
I’ve used oiled based pencils and inktense in this book so far. The book feels so special with its hard cover. The pages almost feel like cardstock they are so beautifully thick. They seem to hold the water needed for inktense incredibly well, ive had no buckling, ripping or pilling of the paper so far.
While I haven’t actually used the printable version yet, I absolutely love the idea of being able to print off one to practice on, to figure out my colours, or just one for the kidlets so they can colour the same thing I am instead of on my page!
Some might think its a little pricey for a colouring book, but I am more than impressed and think when all things are considered this is well worth the money.
A full book of actually people created artworks, with printable pdf, hardcover, amazing quality paper, supporting a local artist. I feel like it’s a bargain really.

I am overall very happy with the book. I love that it is hard cover with a sewn binding. Knowing that I can have the book flat and not break the binding adds to the enjoyment. The images all look like they will be fun to color. My only complaint is the last few pages look as though they were bound while the ink was still wet. There is a bit of ghosting of the opposing image on maybe 3 of the pages. I tried to take photos, but it was impossible to get a good enough photo. This will not stop me from coloring those pages. Very happy with this purchase.

I love the elegance of this book. I feel like I could display it on the coffee table and people will want to pick it up and look through it. It’s such a great price for the hardcover book with high quality paper and the digital versions. I can feel good about experimenting knowing I can do it over on fresh paper if I don’t like it. I will use pencils in the book and use markers for the printables. I like that the lines are thin, because black lines shouldn’t dominate the colorist’s work. I like the variety of images and that they aren’t too detailed nor too simple and not cookie cutter. I’m looking forward to getting creative with the extra background space and trying some new things to make it my own work in the end. I am very picky about which coloring books I buy but this one made the cut. I have never felt compelled to color the inside cover or title pages until I got this one! And what other artist out there has a thank you page at the end? Love the art supply test pages too!

The quality of the cover and the paper are beautiful however some of the images are lacking in detail and there are swathes of white spaces to cover. If you are someone who likes to do lots of interesting backgrounds you will like this book, if you are someone (like me) who likes lots of detail you will not.
