It brings the much-loved color palettes from the Color Catalog into your hands in a whole new way, with a Cube that’s as inspiring and colorful as the ideas it offers inside.
You can grab your favorite color palettes to compare, match the colors right up against whatever you are working on, or even clip them to your project to come back to later.
Each card features the image and colors on the front for inspiration, and then features the colors again on the back, right up to the edge of the card. The back also includes the hex codes for graphic designers or digital artists, as well as darker and lighter shades of each color to help you choose those too.

I love the cubes! Just by flipping through the cards I had so many ideas what I would like to try out in my next projects. Picking the right colours often is a problem for me and I have to try and adjust quite a bit, so I am super happy to have these little helpers. The only little flaw was the packaging. Not the cubes themselves which are very pretty in my shelve , but the carton in which they have been delivered. Since I am from Europe, my package took a looong journey and got bumped around quite a bit, so the corners got squished and one so much that it also damaged the corner of the cube inside the box. At first I was a little sad about this, but then I realized that it can be a reminder that the colour white (which was squished) is not all that perfect and I am using it too much anyways But if I may I would recommend to add some reinforcement to the corners of the cubes like an extra layer of carton or thickened paper.

I love the concept behind the color cube. The quality of the cards is good, packaging for delivery could be improved as mine was slightly damaged in transit.
For the cube and usage of it I would have like to have some dividers which helps me to find the card easier if I use it in conjunction with the digital version, e.g with tabs sorted by color or to have tabs for numbers (e.g. 50, 100, 150)

I really love that I got the colour cubes. Initially I thought I am just buying something because it looks cool but won’t end up using it but I’m really loving them. It’s helping me step out of my comfort zone to actually use new colour combinations I haven’t thought of and therefore really sparking some creativity. I have the PDF version too but I tend to forget about it where I find this is much better for me where I can grab it and use it and I do every time I colour a new page. It feels like it’s making me colour more as I’m more excited to draw using new colour combinations. As much as I love them being the size they are, I am struggling to fit 2 of them in my art cabinet so slightly smaller size could have been a bit more practical or somehow even find a way to combine both volumes in one cube, although it might have to turn into a rectangle I guess. Either way, for colouring in I think having at least one of the cubes is worth while.

These are somehow even nicer quality than I imagined they would be. I love that they come with optional stickers to label which is volume 1 and which is volume 2, but that the boxes are otherwise completely free from writing on the outside.
As for the cards themselves, 10/10. What a fantastic variety of palettes! I love that they’re numbered too, and i love that the numbers carry over between boxes (1-500, rather than each box being 1-250). The card quality is wonderful.

I want to use these in Adobe because I’m so color-challenged but I haven’t found an easy way to save your color palettes in a digital format that can be transferred into my Adobe color library. I bought the cubes hoping that the RGB/CMYK codes would be on them and it would be a one-time job to type them all in. The codes aren’t on the cards and I must say I’m terribly disappointed. I love, love, love my new cubes. There are so many ways for their use. First, I’m a color blind (to reds and greens) lady and finding colors for my coloring books is a difficulty for me. Second, I’m also a fluid artist who deals with both acrylic and resin art. I’m fortunate enough to have an abundance of paints for that and that’s my problem. What colors go good with purple, or turquoise or orange? These cubes take away what has been freezing me with indecision. We are redecorating our living room and I’ll put these cards to use to keep me from making a big color mistake.

I’ve had the digital version of the Colour Catalogues for a few years and put off getting the Colour Cubes when they first came out due to the postage cost to the UK but after watching a couple of colourists on YouTube decided I could wait no longer. I ordered two sets of the Color Cube, one for my sister and one for me. The color ways are brilliant suggestions for my art and the pictures are inspiring. The package was delivered quickly. One set was perfect and intact. The second set, on both boxes, the platforms that hold the cards were smashed down. This does not affect the use of the cards. You can see in the photo that the platform is collapsed and the cards bow down. Highly recommend the Cubes to all, and have convinced at least one friend to get them for her watercolor art.

The cards are a nice size and thickness and just feel good in the hand and nice to look at. The only thing I wish had been different is the box, it would’ve been nice had it been more like a recipe card holder where they could stay in the box slanted then you could flip one at a time forward to look at without taking out of box. But nevertheless I’m very pleased with them and happy I made the purchase. I would highly recommend for self or a gift.

Beautifully presented. I’m a jewellery designer and struggle with chosing groups of 4 or 5 colours to work with. I tend to go with the obvious. First thing I did was look at all 500 cards and take out those that initially appealed to me. I put those 125 at the front and will definately use them in the future. My hopes were that the digital version would make it easier to find the color cards I wanted. It definitely does! I wish there was a way to “search” for a 2 color scheme, though. I ordered the color cube bundle. Let me start by saying that the shipping was fast, cards are high-quality, and the photographs are stunning. The pictures are inspirational. Unfortunately, as many others have mentioned, they were damaged in transit, and the corner of one of the cubes was crushed. I would strongly suggest foam around the corners of the boxes. I am also disappointed to see that there is no way to sort or find images by color combinations (pallets that are mostly a particular color) or by color palettes such as monochromatic, analogous, complementary, etc. From what I’m reading now, it seems I would have to purchase an additional product to have that ability. It would be nice if a pamphlet pamphlet or pages were included with that information for each cube. It would certainly make them much more usable as opposed to having to flip through 500 cards to find the appropriate ones.

These are great. Just pick a card and there’s your color palette for a project. A few of the cards have a printing error or smudge at the top or bottom. These cards are great and I’m excited to use them. The only thing I would change would be to put the prismacolor codes (or all color codes) on the cards themselves instead of having them on a separate catalog. I actually thought that’s how the cards came. After I received both volumes and realized I needed to buy the catalog, I reached out and was given a discount code for $10 to order the catalog. However, I noticed the site says if you order both volumes it would only be $7. So I’m wondering why I was charged $10 when the site says $7. Anyhow, aside from that, these are great. I won’t have to spend hours or days searching through Pinterest, Google or Instagram for color palette ideas.

The cubes are fantastic. I am not a digital person, and I love the cubes. My husband IS a digi-man, so thought I needed the companion, which he gave me for our anniversary. I have to admit, it makes it even more usable.
I am a watercolorist. So in order to recreate the colors, I have to print out the pages to match. It helps to have the CMYK numbers….I have those in my palette for both gouache and watercolor….to give me a loose starting point for mixing.
I teach watercolor and would like to introduce the cubes to my students. If you have any good suggestions for this, I would love to have them. The way I’ve used them most is to choose a color from my palette that I am dying to try….go to the color menu….and pull up color combinations with that color in it. It’s a nice way of thinking outside the box by looking at what is inside the box!

Love the idea of having colorways already chosen, but I do not know if it is just my set, but some of the colors are not what they state they are. For example one of the cards has Beige as the color but the color swatch is definitely pale green. I have asked many others to look at it and tell me what they see and they all say the same. I used the pale green and it still worked but it is definitely not beige. There are a few others like that as well.

I ordered your bundle of 2 colour cubes as a gift for my mother. I know it is not your fault, but I received the boxes in a really bad shape with damages… (see the pictures). There is no mention ”Fragile” on the boxe. I think it will be a good thing to write it on the box.
I ordered it from Canada and it costs a lot of fees to receive it so I can’t send it back. So I have to give it in this condition as a gift.

I bought the two boxes and have been really happy with them. The photograph on each card is the starting point visually so I can get the feel for the colour combination from that. Then I matchthe separate colours with my sets of pencils. Sometimes I select a card t rndom but most usually I look through to find a photograph that chimes with me for the image I m about to work on in my colouring book. I would recommend the boxes but I would say tht if your budget is tight, one box would be enough as Sarah has generated such a wonderful range in each of the boxes.

The pictures are brilliant. I mainly use my prismacolors so hoping to match best I can. I actually set up the pictures in subject order. Within that I did numerical. Then I used lined paper and pen to write what was in the picture and then next line the colors from back. Once I use them I’ll put the name and number I find best matches on next line. So a bit of work at the beginning but later just look and grab. Friend already took the subject of flowers and guide to practice her coloring. Thank you for coming up with your idea.

I’ve never seen very good with picking color combinations for my quilts and usually rely on pattern suggestions. The color cards allow me to find a group of colors, as many cards as needed to make sure they work together. These cards would be an asset to any quilter! I most highly recommend these two boxes, each card providing so much information and so many cards, for all painters, designers, multimedia anyone working with colour.
They really do inspire me to paint the subject and all the colours are there just to replicate as close as I can.
I have been in a post viral depressed exhausted state for months after the virus, and just couldn’t paint. I had nothing inside to even look thru images on my iPad to get a jump start.
When I received the colour boxes, opening them was so luxurious to just put them out on my table and swirl them around until something grabbed me.
And that became my first 20cm by 30 cm landscape and got me back into painting I needed to work with green and it was healing.

Hi Sarah. These are great. I actually bought a Rotating Display Stand too, from Amazon. As I want to be able to access the cards quickly, and assort them in my room/art-studio according to colour & theme.
So, at the top we have Abstract spectrums/shapes/lines and Op Art styles. Below are Conceptual, Marketing-friendly Interior Design and Textiles themes. I placed Animal, Vehicles & Scenery themed cards on other sides.
I’d be interested to see more 2d type images, in-future.
