Does the Color Cube internationally?
Yes! International shipping prices are calculated at checkout. Please note that some countries may apply extra customs fees that are not included.
How do I use the interactive Color Catalog?
The interactive file is designed to work on your computer or tablet devices using a PDF reader. For iPads, this is built in so you don’t need any additional apps, and for Android Tablets you can download Xodo PDF reader from the Google Play store. Find out more here.
What’s the difference between Volume 1 and Volume 2?
Each volume includes 250 unique color palettes, so buying both volumes will give you 500 unique color combinations to try.

Will the Color Catalog work on my device?
The Color Catalog works on any device that can read an interactive PDF. This includes computers, iPads, iPhones, and most Android tablets or phones. Some tablets or phones may require additional software that you can download for free, such as Xodo or Adobe Reader.
Can I buy the Color Catalog as a printed/physical book you send to me?
The Color Catalog is only available as a digital download, NOT a physical book, however the new Color Cube™ provides all the same color palettes as cards you can hold.
What’s the difference between the Color Catalog and the Companion?
The Color Catalog is an interactive color palette guide. The Companion is a printable add-on that allows you to swatch your pencils and markers to the palettes from The Color Catalog. The original Color Catalog is still the easiest and quickest way to find a color palette for inspiration. The Companion is not intended to be used on its own (although it can be purchased separately).
What brands are supported in the Color Catalog Companion?
Pencils: Prismacolor Premier, Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran D’Ache Luminance, Black Widow, Derwent Colorsoft, Derwent Inktense, Derwent Artist, Castle Arts Gold, Arteza Expert
Markers: Copic Sketch, Ohuhu Alcohol Brush Markers, Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, Tombow Dual Brush Pens
You can include your suggestions for new brands to be included in the survey here. Existing customers will be given access to new brands as they are added, at no extra cost.
How accurate are the colors?
Colors will vary between different screens, different devices, different printers and different brands of pencils or markers. Furthermore, because colored pencils come in limited ranges, not every color has a matching pencil, so I’ve provided what I believe is the closest match possible with each range, based on the manufacturers swatches, the actual products, and my own printed swatches and palettes. The hex codes, RGB & CMYK values are based on the original colors from the digital Color Catalog, not the printed Color Cube™.

I am enjoying trying out my different brands of pencils having printed off the blank companion pages for each of the four pencil sets I have. I Usually really enjoy swatching pencils but I have to say that so far with the Prismas and Polychromos I am rather disappointed with the colour match suggestions. I am not going off my printed sheets nor my screen but generally the cards and for the most part a lot of your suggestions are nothing like a near match. I have basically given up on them now as so disappointed. One example I have just done is 013 a beautiful yellow rose with your main colour suggestion being a mustard. Wrong!

Love it, love that the paper is matte and the wide variety of color combinations, and they’re organized so nicely!! It’s really helpful to have the full suite so that you can more easily locate the card that you want. Only a couple suggestions for improvement, though: Black and charcoal gray is used a lot in the combinations, and I would like to see more without these colors. Also, I would like to see more 6-color combinations. On the whole though, beautifully done! A valuable asset to any colorist/artist’s arsenal!

Thanks for such a wonderful crafting tool! It is very well organized and easy to use. Love the colored pencil references to take the guess work out of finding the right colors! The only thing I would suggest is to make the cube boxes ever so slightly wider so you can get the cards out easier, and slightly longer so we can add numerical tabs, though I was able to add my own without any trouble. Overall, I’m blown away at the organization and creation of this tool…love it!!

Honestly, the cards were way better than what I expected. Heavy duty card stock, nice almost laminated like covering to the cards, great selection of colors/ideas. The boxes they come in are also fabulous, not flimsy and the cards are nestled around a soft sponge like material so they aren’t just flopping around getting damaged. Beautifully done! It’s an awesome work put together definitely will be very helpful, the cubes looks very cute even as a decor for your art studio, however could be some small improvements, like having the cards divided in section of 20’s or so with a separation card in it, like 1-20, 21-31, 31-41 and so on. This way when you find your pallet in the computer download version would be easier to locate the corresponding card on the color cube, I will be doing that manually myself. Unfortunately I could not download these on my iPhones for some reason….I’ve never had a problem downloading anything else. I did reach out to the supplier and I received one reply, but no further replies, and I still can download.
The cubes arrived promptly and the colour cards are beautiful. One of the boxes however has a dented corner, which doesn’t affect the cards but is still disappointing. Considering I paid $145, I expected the product to be in perfect condition.
So, overall, quite disappointing

I love the whole concept. I find the pdf files really good. I love the cards, except that I have found several cases where the colour on the front of the card does not match the colours on the back of the card. This is frustrating. Not disasterous, but it does make it harder to pick the matching colours. That said, I shall be using this system to help me choose colours to put in a quilt.

Very good! Bought them for my very arty daughter as she sometimes struggles with inspiration. The only little issue is that the cards are quite tightly packed that it’s hard to flick through them or get them back in the right spot.

I am absolutely loving both the Color Cubes and the digital catalogs that help me search in the Cubes. I enjoy making cards working mainly with card stock, a variety of other papers, and a few ink pads for blending. Choosing the right colors has always been a time-consuming challenge. My “ah-hah” moment came after I recently viewed a video from artist Kristina Werner who was featuring the use of the Color Cubes and Color Catalogs. You are EXACTLY what the art world needs! This suite is incredible—in price and quality and value!! As a graphic designer, it gets old looking through color swatches like the Pantone sets when the colors are shades of a single color on swatch fans which are combersome and bulky.
