This is a brilliant system and I highly recommend it to all painters, artists, anyone who needs the exact same colour comparison that often is not displayed correctly on the product. For me having the “out of the tube” colour, then “with water” and “with white” plus any other two options is priceless. With adequate writing area it covers all my needs. Most important with colours I don’t use regularly.
I highly recommend these Swatchdex to everyone.

Everything was fine,took colours well,no bleed thru., but after a couple of days, the rivet broke. Couldn’t send it back,as it took a long tie to fill in the colours,so husband fixed it.

Hello Sarah, I had high hopes for this Swatchdex. I’m sure this is a perfect swatch for many other mediums. As a watercolorist, it doesn’t work as well as actual watercolor paper. When using it, the feel of the paper is like smooth card stock which is not quite desirable for a watercolor painter. Had there been an option to purchase a Swatchdex with watercolor cold press paper, I would have chosen it.

These little Swatch books are perfect for traveling because the paper is high quality & just thick enough that I can throw it in my back & the paper doesn’t bend! They also take up very little space in my backpack. Love love & love this system!
