The Color Catalog Companion is a new printable guide with every color palette from the Color Catalog where my team and I have pre-filled every pencil color for you for some of the most popular pencil brands so that you don’t have to go to the effort of finding the best match.
Includes pencil and marker reference numbers for every color palette in The Color Catalog Volumes 1 & 2, PLUS a blank printable version with 8 color palettes to a page.

How is this different from The Color Catalog?
The Color Catalog is a digital and interactive color palette guide. This is a printable add-on that allows you to swatch your pencils and markers to the palettes from The Color Catalog. The original Color Catalog is still the easiest and quickest way to find a color palette for inspiration.
Can I buy this without The Color Catalog?
Yes, but you’ll get a very good discount by buying them together in the same order. Separately, The Color Catalogs are worth $29 per volume, and the Companion is worth $47. You can get the Complete Color Catalog Bundle including all 3 for $60 (Saving $45).
How accurate are the colors?
Because colors vary between different screens, different devices, different printers and different brands of pencils or markers, it is impossible to guarantee color accuracy. Because colored pencils come in limited ranges, not every color has a matching pencil, so I’ve provided what I believe is the closest match possible with each range, based on the manufacturers swatches, the actual products, and my own printed swatches and palettes. If you are looking for perfect colors for graphic design or professional projects, it is better to refer to the CMYK, RGB and hex codes provided in The Color Catalog.

I love this product. The only thing I would improve is: it would be nice if there was an app so that you didn’t have to wait for the website to load all the time. The number of downloads seems low for how much I’d like to access it and the price. The only other thing is that when you select a pallet, it takes you out of your search. So if I search for “animals”, and I select a pallet, the pallet I select is now in number order instead of being able to zoom in on all of the “animal” pallets at once (not sure that makes sense). But it’s a supremely a helpful, beautiful tool! It has seriously upped my game with coloring.

I would like better keywords of what the picture actually is. Example, ‘guitar’,’strawberries’. And if things could be added by us. Like keywords we personally would want. Or other colored pencil numbers/names.
I had no idea what to do with the files. Can you add better instructions? I had to Google for more info that people talked abouts on line,

could use more photos that have contrast. Ist volume is wonderful. You could ask customers for their own photographs to publish and wanting color suggestions on.Your videos on You Tube on paper types is fantastic.

I am a beginner. I read the informations with the catalog but I need more. I watch a lot of videos on YouTube how to choose colors with the chromatic circle, I understood it is the beginning. I would like suggestions to learn how to use the chromatic circle in association with the palette for a photo.

I love having both the Color Catalogs and the Companion, it makes selecting colors easier and the beautiful format provides color inspiration! The only negative would be that you cannot combine Companions for different brands into one, so you have to bounce back and forth between them if your using more than one medium/brand

This is a great tool, and has allowed me to approach coloring in a whole new way. What I would love to see added, is for it to go beyond just a 5-6 max color palette, like for an advanced colorist. I think it would minimize trying to bring to color palettes together to get one for a more intricate coloring page. Bravo overall! I can’t imagine the amount of time and effort trying to get all this together. Thank you!

I absolutely love the companion. It’s a shame that it cant be bought alone. Of course the catalog is very useful but I do wish it had a searchable option. The categories it does have are general.

I love the digital version, it makes it easy to search for palettes in a variety of ways. Unfortunately the alcohol markers that I have were not one of the ones that you color swatched. Bianyo and Caliart both use the same numbering system but I did not see that system in the printable swatch guides. I can at least do it on my own with the blank one that was also provided, which was nice.
